Holy Baptism is normally celebrated on the Baptism of The Lord, the second Sunday of Easter, the Day of Pentecost/Whitsunday and the Sunday nearest to All Saints’ Day (November 1). Holy Baptism is arranged by the clergy and there are some preparation classes that parents and godparents must attend. Please contact the church office for more information.
If you are considering Holy Matrimony at St. Stephen’s, this must be arranged in consultation with the clergy. Please feel free to contact the church office with as much notice as possible.
The clergy of St. Stephen’s are available to conduct funeral services at the parish or in chapels of area funeral homes. Contact the church office for more information. Holy Unction for the sick and dying is administered upon request.
[Holy Unction – anointing with oil the dead or those in imminent danger of dying]
Confirmation is the rite of reaffirming one’s vows made on their behalf at Baptism. Another rite is Reception for those coming into the Anglican Church from other traditions. To become ‘confirmed’ there are mandatory preparatory classes, once classes are completed there will be a special service where the Bishop will administer Confirmation to the new confirmands. Contact the church office for more information.
Other services are held according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Anglican Church of Canada.
